DESCRIPTION:WE HAVE A NEW DATE!\nSunday\, December 14th\, 2025\, 3:45-6:00 pm\n\nFollow our Facebook event for updates! \nJoin us for a Jolly Jaunt through the Making Spirits Bright Holiday Light Show in Evergreen Park! Evergreen Park will be closed to vehicle traffic\, making this a safe\, all ages and all abilities bike ride! \nMeet at Shaw Family Playground at 3:45 pm for cookies and cocoa\, a group photo\, and to gather non perishable food items for a group donation to the Sheboygan County Food Bank. Last year we donated 287 pounds of food and around 100 riders participated. *There will be several spots in the parking lot reserved for MSB volunteers. There is plenty of street parking available if needed. \nAs in past years\, we will split into groups:\n4:15 pm – First wave: experienced and faster riders\n4:20 pm – Second wave: families\, kids\, and slower riders\n*We need to be finished and off the Evergreen Park road by 4:50 pm.\n5:00 pm – Dirt ride rollout (*Meet at Quarry parking lot) \nMore important details: \n\nSCC is providing free cookies and cocoa.\nDRESS FOR THE WEATHER – our later makeup date means it’s a bit colder.\nDeck your bike with festive lights and sport a costume if you’d like!\nIf you have a portable radio with an FM radio tuner that you can comfortably carry bring it along so you can hear the music the lights are choreographed to.\nThe dirt ride departs from the Quarry Building at 5:00 pm. Helmets and bike lights are required. SCC would like to honor that history and ensure the park is accessible to as many park users as possible by revitalizing the trails within the park. We are partnering with the City of Sheboygan on a privately funded project to revitalize the hike/bike trails within Evergreen Park. \nSCC worked with IMBA Trail Solutions (International Mountain Biking Association) to develop a plan to correct the current environmental damage and save the park from years of neglect while providing an inclusive park experience for all. The City of Sheboygan does not have a licensed trail crew or the expertise on staff to facilitate the sustainable trail redevelopment that the concept plan proposes. \nThe trails within Evergreen Park have been and will remain multi-use. The proposed improvements will likely result in a net reduction of trails in the park to ensure those that remain are right for the park. Years of use and new trails being cut resulted in a trail system that holds water for days in parts\, wears heavily due to water washing the trail out in others\, and a challenging trail user experience due to the overlapping and poorly signed nature of the park. We believe the city deserves a better park experience and are excited to volunteer our time and fundraise to make it happen!

DESCRIPTION:Follow our Facebook event for updates!\n\n\nJoin us for a Jolly Jaunt through the Making Spirits Bright Holiday Light Show in Evergreen Park November 27th\, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. We will meet at the Quarry Building at 5:00 pm and gather non perishable food items for a group donation to the Sheboygan County Food Bank. Free coffee\, cookies and cocoa! A dirt ride will take place after this event for those with an off road inclination.\n\n\nWe are anticipating a large turnout at this event. Please consider carpooling. If the lot is at capacity\, our overflow parking recommendation is to park by Shaw Playground and bike to the start.\n\n  \nGroup Ride Start Times\nThe starting location will be the quarry lot – see the map below. We will ride as a group under Calumet into the park. Deck your bike with festive lights and sport a costume if you’d like! If you have a portable radio with an FM tuner that you can comfortably carry\, bring it along so you can hear the music the lights are choreographed to. We will have access to the light show in Evergreen Park without any vehicle traffic making this a safe\, all ages and all abilities bike ride! \n5:30 pm – First Wave of Riders: Experienced and faster Riders\n5:40 pm – Second Wave of Riders: Families\, Kids\, and Slower Riders\n5:45 pm – The dirt Ride Departs from the Quarry Building. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first Sheboygan County Cycling Bikepacking trip! We will plan to depart from the Greenbush Recreation Area lot at 2 pm on Saturday\, October 5th. This is a 20-mile leisurely ride through the kettles and along the lake-to-lake bike path out to our camp sites in the Mauthe Lake Campground. In the spirit of keeping things simple we will plan to roll over to a local restaurant for food. So you’re free to keep your camp stove at home.
