SCC is partnering with the city to revitalize the hike/bike trails within Evergreen Park. A representative of the city will be present and involved in the presentation for both meetings. \nDate: Wednesday\, April 23rd\, 2025\nTime: 5:30-6:30 pm\nLocation: Mead Public Library – 1st Floor Rocca Meeting Room \nDate: Wednesday\, April 30th\, 2025\nTime: 3:30-4:30 pm\nLocation: Mead Public Library – 1st Floor Rocca Meeting Room \nLearn more about the project in our Evergreen Q&A Section. \nProject Background \nEvergreen Park is a true gem within the heart of the City of Sheboygan\, utilized in countless ways throughout its 107-year history as a city park. SCC would like to honor that history and ensure the park is accessible to as many park users as possible by revitalizing the trails within the park. \nSCC worked with IMBA Trail Solutions to develop a plan to correct the current environmental damage and save the park from years of neglect while providing an inclusive park experience for all. The City of Sheboygan does not have a licensed trail crew or the expertise on staff to facilitate the sustainable trail redevelopment that the concept plan proposes. \nThe trails within Evergreen Park have been and will remain multi-use. The proposed improvements will likely result in a net reduction of trails in the park to ensure those that remain are right for the park. Years of use and new trails being cut resulted in a trail system that holds water for days in parts\, wears heavily due to water washing the trail out in others\, and a challenging trail user experience due to the overlapping and poorly signed nature of the park. We believe the city deserves a better park experience and are excited to volunteer our time and fundraise to make it happen!

DESCRIPTION:Follow our Facebook event for updates!\n\n\nJoin us for a Jolly Jaunt through the Making Spirits Bright Holiday Light Show in Evergreen Park November 27th\, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. We will meet at the Quarry Building at 5:00 pm and gather non perishable food items for a group donation to the Sheboygan County Food Bank. Free coffee\, cookies and cocoa! A dirt ride will take place after this event for those with an off road inclination.\n\n\nWe are anticipating a large turnout at this event. Please consider carpooling. If the lot is at capacity\, our overflow parking recommendation is to park by Shaw Playground and bike to the start.\n\n  \nGroup Ride Start Times\nThe starting location will be the quarry lot – see the map below. We will ride as a group under Calumet into the park. Deck your bike with festive lights and sport a costume if you’d like! If you have a portable radio with an FM tuner that you can comfortably carry\, bring it along so you can hear the music the lights are choreographed to. We will have access to the light show in Evergreen Park without any vehicle traffic making this a safe\, all ages and all abilities bike ride! \n5:30 pm – First Wave of Riders: Experienced and faster Riders\n5:40 pm – Second Wave of Riders: Families\, Kids\, and Slower Riders\n5:45 pm – The dirt Ride Departs from the Quarry Building. Helmets and Bike Lights are Required. The festival will finish off a week of fun events put on in the area by other organizations.\nJoin us for the bike playground setup during the whole event. New this year\, we will have 5 loaner bikes thanks to Trek Store Sheboygan. Come on down and lets get kids out on bikes!\n* Group rides throughout the day\, see the pinned comment for the schedule!\n* Kid craft zone!\n* Event exclusive beer brewed by 3 Sheeps!\n* Food Trucks\n* And lots of family fun! \nNew this year\, we have a photo station setup for the whole month of June as we are 3 Sheeps Brewing Company spotlight of the month!
