Wisconsin Bike Fed Offering Smart Cycling Course

The Wisconsin Bike Federation is pleased to announce the offering of the League of American Cyclists’ Advanced Smart Cycling course in Sheboygan. The course fees are being covered by a partnership with the Bureau of Transportation Safety at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Students will learn about choosing a bicycle, basic parts of a bike, essential equipment, as well as how to safely and comfortably ride your bike in various traffic conditions, terrain and climates. This course is especially helpful for those wishing to become more comfortable and confident driving their bike in traffic.

Participants must be 18 years old or older for this course.

In addition to becoming a more confident rider, successful completion of this course satisfies the prerequisite for enrolling in the League Cycling Instructor training and becoming a certified League Cycling Instructor (LCI). The next LCI course is being offered in Wausau on November 13, 14, & 15. Obtaining your LCI certification qualifies you to teach the Smart Cycling curriculum and other Safe Cycling skills courses.
